Logs to Buy in Bags, Bulk Bags and Crates

The right quantity depends on how regularly you light your fire, the amount of storage space available and how easily you want to move the logs after delivery.

Our range includes:

• Bags of kiln dried logs for occasional fires, smaller storage spaces and customers who prefer manageable individual bags.
• Bulk logs for sale for regular stove users who want to stock up and reduce the number of orders they place.
• Log crates for customers looking for larger stacked quantities and a choice of hardwood species.
• Firewood bundles combining logs with useful extras such as kindling and firelighters.
• British larch options for customers specifically looking for British logs.

If you are unsure which format represents the best quantity for you, use our firewood volume comparison chart. It compares loose and stacked volumes across bulk bags, barrow bags and crates, helping you compare the amount of usable firewood rather than relying on the apparent size of the packaging.

Searching for Logs Near Me?

A search for “buy logs near me” does not necessarily mean you need to rely on a small local selection or collect the logs yourself.

Ordering online gives you access to a wider choice of quantities, species and packaging formats, with delivery available across most of mainland UK. This can be particularly useful if nearby shops only sell small bags, local suppliers have limited availability or you want to arrange a larger order in advance.

FirewoodFund allows you to order logs online from home, choose the quantity that suits your needs and arrange delivery to your address. Our location directory further down this page will help you find the relevant delivery information for your part of the country.

Choosing the Right Logs for Your Fire

All fires and appliances behave differently, so it is worth checking the product description before ordering.

Our wider kiln dried log range includes different species, log sizes and quantities suitable for wood-burning stoves, open fires and other appropriate appliances.

Smaller bags and boxes are useful if you burn logs occasionally or have limited storage. Bulk bags and crates make more sense for regular users who want a larger supply at home. If you specifically want denser hardwood species, you can also compare our kiln dried hardwood logs.

Before choosing, check:

• The species or wood mixture supplied.
• The approximate log dimensions.
• Whether the quantity is stated as loose or stacked volume.
• The packaging format and how you will move it.
• The storage space you have available.
• The delivery method and access requirements.

British and European-Sourced Logs

FirewoodFund supplies British and European-sourced kiln dried logs, with provenance varying according to the individual product.

Some products, including our British larch options, are specifically sourced in Britain. Other products contain carefully selected European firewood. Check the individual listing if species or provenance is important to your buying decision.

This gives customers a genuine choice rather than suggesting that every product in the range comes from the same source.

Kiln Dried for Reliable Burning

The logs sold through FirewoodFund are kiln dried and quality checked to ensure they contain less than 20% moisture.

Lower moisture content makes firewood easier to light and means less heat is wasted evaporating water from the logs. Properly dried firewood also produces more dependable heat and less smoke than wet or poorly seasoned wood.

Your logs should still be stored somewhere dry and ventilated once delivered. Our firewood FAQs contain further guidance on storage, quantities, moisture content and choosing the right firewood.

Order Logs Online for Home Delivery

Parcel orders, including smaller boxes of logs, kindling and firelighters, are normally dispatched on the next working day. Delivery is free when the total order value exceeds £100.

Larger orders are delivered on a pallet. Weekday pallet delivery is free and you can select your preferred delivery date during checkout. A paid Saturday service is also available.

Palletised logs arrive on a delivery vehicle equipped with a tail lift. The pallet is lowered from the vehicle and moved using a pallet truck. Deliveries may be made kerbside, and final placement depends on vehicle access, the delivery method and having a suitable hard, level surface.

Please read the full kiln dried log delivery information before placing a pallet order, particularly if your road is narrow, access is restricted or the surrounding ground is gravel, grass or otherwise unsuitable for a pallet truck.

Secure and Straightforward Online Ordering

Choose the product and quantity you need, add it to your basket and complete your order using one of the available secure payment methods.

For palletised orders, your preferred delivery date can be selected during checkout. Prices include VAT, and qualifying orders include free delivery, making it easier to understand the full cost before purchasing.

How will my logs be delivered?

Smaller parcel orders are delivered by courier. Larger quantities arrive on a pallet using a vehicle with a tail lift. The pallet is moved using a pallet truck, subject to suitable access and ground conditions. Pallet deliveries may be kerbside, so read the delivery information before ordering.

How many logs should I order?

For occasional fires or limited storage, smaller bags or boxes may be the most practical choice. Regular stove users will normally benefit from a bulk bag, pallet or crate. Use the product volume comparison chart to compare the approximate quantities.

Are all FirewoodFund logs British sourced?

No. FirewoodFund sells British and European-sourced logs, depending on the product. Products specifically described as British, including the British larch options, are sourced in Britain. Check the individual product description for confirmed provenance.

Are the logs ready to burn?

FirewoodFund’s kiln dried logs are quality checked to ensure they contain less than 20% moisture, making them suitable for immediate use in an appropriate appliance. Store them somewhere dry and ventilated after delivery.

Is it cheaper to buy logs in a larger quantity?

Larger quantities will often provide better value than repeatedly buying small bags, although the best option depends on the delivered price, usable volume and your storage capacity. Compare loose and stacked measurements rather than judging value only by the apparent size of a bag or crate.
