Filled with approximately 1.2 cubic metres of loose kiln dried hardwood logs, each bulk bag contains the equivalent of around 43 of our small bags of firewood.
That makes the 1.2m3 size particularly well suited to homes using a wood burner, multi-fuel stove or open fire several times each week — without necessarily committing the storage space required for our largest bulk bag.
What does 1.2m3 of logs actually mean?
The 1.2m3 measurement refers to the loose-filled volume of firewood, rather than its weight.
Because individual logs naturally vary in size and density, we don’t sell this product according to a fixed number of logs or as a “tonne bag”. Instead, you receive approximately 1.2 cubic metres of loose-filled kiln dried firewood, equivalent to around 43 small bags or nets of logs.
This makes it considerably easier to compare the quantity with smaller packaged firewood before ordering.
If you’re deciding between bulk bag sizes, the 1.2m3 option is designed to sit neatly in the middle of the range: more firewood than the 0.8m3 bag, without moving all the way up to the 1.6m3 option.
Kiln dried hardwood in a versatile 25cm log size
Inside the bag you’ll find mixed kiln dried hardwood, typically including species such as ash, beech and oak depending on availability.
The logs are cut to approximately:

Diameter: 5–15cm / approximately 2–6 inches
Size tolerance: approximately +/-10%
The 25cm length makes this an especially versatile firewood size and suitable for the great majority of standard wood-burning and multi-fuel stoves.
Kiln drying controls the moisture within the wood so that it is ready for use when delivered, helping the logs light readily and burn efficiently compared with wetter firewood.

Your 1.2m3 bulk bag is securely strapped to a pallet for transport and delivered directly to your address.
Free UK mainland weekday delivery is available, with your preferred delivery day bookable when ordering. A paid Saturday delivery option is also available.
You don’t necessarily need to be home to receive your logs where the pallet can safely be left on suitable private property.
Once delivered, we recommend removing the firewood from the bulk bag and stacking it in a dry, well-ventilated log store, garage or other protected area. Proper storage helps maintain the condition of kiln dried firewood until you’re ready to burn it.
