Kiln Dried Log Delivery

Why buy firewood logs in bulk?

Because buying logs in large quantities is more cost-effective. It’s also far more convenient than having to buy lots of smaller bags from the garage or a DIY store! We can advise you on how to safely get rid of the pallet if you have concerns.

Versatile kiln dried logs for sale:

Our bags of logs can be used for many purposes, so whether you are searching for; best wood for log burners, best wood for pizza ovens, chiminea logs, wood for wood burners, wood for stoves or wood logs for fireplace – we can fulfil your needs.

Weight vs volume

Our bulk log bags are sold in cubic metres (m3) rather than kilograms because you’re not paying for water. Some seasoned wood contains moisture, which increases the wood’s weight. As a result, you may be buying a lot of water! By kiln-drying our logs, we remove any residual dampness. It makes them lighter but not smaller. As such, the volume of the logs is a much better gauge of what you’re getting. Often there is a catch when buying cheap firewood logs.

Summer discounts on firewood

Like most things, logs are cheaper when demand is low. As such, buying logs in the summer months can be cheaper than in the winter. Buy your logs in bulk during warm weather and you’ll have enough to see you through the winter while saving money!

What can I use my firewood logs for?

Because they don’t contain moisture, kiln-dried hardwood logs are the best wood for burning and are suitable for a wide range of uses. They’re fantastic for:

  • Wood-burners
  • Stoves
  • Open fires
  • Firepits
  • Chimeneas
  • Bonfires
  • Wood-fired brick or clay pizza ovens.

The FirewoodFund story

A passion for British dry firewood and a disdain for poor services – The kindling that birthed FirewoodFund. After purchasing a stove, Matthew (our founder) headed to find some local firewood. Like most, he stopped at the first ‘Firewood for Sale’ sign he saw.

Armed with a pocket full of cash and a Debit Card just in case, he thought he had all bases covered. Little did he know he’d be paying by slipping a cheque – of all things – under a plant pot!

Well, at least he had his dry firewood. But to his surprise, these logs were shipped from Eastern Europe.. ‘Why?’ he thought. After all, that’s an unnecessary carbon footprint when we have perfectly fine woodland in Britain.

Hitting Google search, he started to research other local firewood businesses – They were all doing the same wasteful shipping. Matthew decided it was time to start his own company, FirewoodFund.co.uk. Now, we offer sustainably sourced firewood delivered straight to your home (or firepit, if you’re that lazy!)

Today, we have organised thousands of firewood log deliveries and donated thousands of pounds towards tree planting activity in the United Kingdom.

Lots of people enjoy a nice roaring fire and many of them want to know that the wood they burn has been ethically sourced. That’s why FirewoodFund was born.

We want to provide locally sourced, sustainable firewood for cozy fires while protecting the environment. As such, the logs for sale on our site are sourced through responsible tree felling to help keep British woodlands healthy. Find out more about how we source our wood here.

As part of our sustainability goals, we also donate towards tree planting in Great Britain for every bulk order placed online. You can find out more about our commitment here. We aim to be a responsible log supplier.
