Wooden Logs for Sale – Choose the Right Supply for Your Fire

Buying wooden logs isn’t simply a question of finding a bag of firewood. The quantity, species, packaging and intended use can all make a difference to what represents the best choice.

FirewoodFund offers a wide selection of kiln dried wooden logs for sale, ranging from convenient smaller bags and boxes through to bulk bags, palletised log bags and large crates. This means you can order according to how often you burn, how much storage space you have and how you would prefer to handle your firewood once it arrives.

Our wooden log range includes British and European-sourced products, depending on the individual option selected, with both hardwood and other carefully selected firewood species available.

Kiln Dried Wooden Logs Ready for Your Next Fire

Removing excess moisture from firewood makes an enormous difference to how effectively it burns.

The wooden logs sold across our range are kiln dried, helping provide the dry, dependable fuel needed for wood-burning appliances and outdoor fires. If you would like to explore the wider range specifically by drying method, take a look at our full selection of kiln dried logs.

Different products use different species and blends, so check the individual product description when species is particularly important to you. FirewoodFund supplies both British and European-sourced logs, with provenance varying according to the product selected.

Which Wooden Logs Should You Buy?

The best choice depends largely on how you use your fire.

If you only light an occasional fire, smaller bags or boxes can provide a manageable supply without requiring a large storage area.

For households burning several evenings each week, larger quantities can reduce how frequently you need to reorder. Regular burners may therefore prefer palletised bags, bulk bags or crates.

If you’re stocking up ahead of the colder months, our bulk firewood range makes it easier to compare some of the larger-volume options available.

Because firewood can be sold in bags, bulk bags and crates of very different dimensions, the physical size of the packaging doesn’t always tell you how much usable firewood you are receiving. Our firewood volume comparison chart compares loose and stacked volumes to make the different options easier to understand.

Wooden Logs for Stoves, Fireplaces and Open Fires

Many customers looking to buy wooden logs are choosing fuel for a stove or traditional fire.

For this type of regular domestic burning, kiln dried logs provide a convenient supply that can be stored ready for use when needed. The right quantity will depend on whether the fire is an occasional source of extra warmth or something you use throughout the week.

If your main requirement is specifically fuel for a stove, you can also explore our dedicated range and buying information for logs for wood burners.

For winter planning, our guide explaining how many logs you may need for winter can help you decide whether a smaller order or a larger bulk supply is likely to suit you better.

Wooden Logs for Fire Pits and Outdoor Fires

Wooden logs aren’t only for indoor heating.

Dry logs are also a convenient fuel choice for fire pits, helping you prepare for evenings outdoors without having to search locally for suitable firewood at the last minute.

If outdoor burning is your main reason for ordering, our dedicated fire pit logs page provides a more focused selection for that particular use.

The advantage of the wider Wooden Logs range is choice: you can compare different quantities and formats in one place rather than being restricted to a single type of pack.

Bags, Bulk Bags or Log Crates?

There is no universally “best” way to buy wooden logs. The right format depends on your circumstances.

Smaller bags and boxes can be useful when storage space is limited, when you only burn occasionally or when you want individual packs that are easier to move.

Palletised bags provide a larger overall quantity while allowing the firewood to be moved a bag at a time after delivery.

Bulk bags are suited to customers who want a substantial loose-packed volume of logs without buying lots of separate small packs.

Log crates offer another high-volume option and can be particularly attractive to regular burners looking to build up a substantial firewood supply.

If you’re unsure which quantity represents the best value for the way you burn, compare the products above rather than simply choosing the largest pack available. The best purchase is the amount you can comfortably store and use while the logs remain properly protected.

Order Wooden Logs Online for Home Delivery

FirewoodFund makes it straightforward to buy wooden logs online and arrange delivery to your home.

Delivery method depends on the size and type of order. Larger palletised products are delivered by lorry and unloaded using a tail lift and pallet truck, so suitable vehicle access and ground conditions are important.

Smaller orders may be sent as parcels.

For current charges, delivery days, access requirements and information about how pallet deliveries work, please read our full log delivery information before ordering.

Once your logs arrive, keep them protected from prolonged exposure to rain while maintaining good airflow. A covered, ventilated log store or suitable shed is ideal.

More Than Just an Order of Firewood

FirewoodFund was created around the idea that selling firewood should also contribute something positive back to the environment.

For every order placed online, money is donated towards tree planting in the UK.

It is a simple difference, but one that means choosing your next supply of wooden logs also helps support wider tree-planting work. You can read more about FirewoodFund’s tree-planting initiative.
