The right size kiln dried logs for sale

We have small logs, medium logs and large logs for sale. When you place your order, just choose the log size you need and we’ll deliver them on a day that suits you. Manufacturers of wood burners, stoves and pizza ovens recommend using logs 25cm long and no larger than 15cm in diameter. This is our standard size, but we can also deliver logs up to 50cm in length. Don’t forget that you can also get firelighters and kindling at FirewoodFund. Just add them to your basket before proceeding to the checkout.

Select the right sized logs for your needs here. See below for a reminder of the size options across our bulk logs for sale:

How much firewood do I have to buy?

We sell bulk bags of logs, but can also provide individual log bags stacked on a pallet.

What’s in the bags?

Our bulk bags of firewood include a mixture of British hardwood logs from trees felled as part of a natural thinning process. Our typical kiln dried firewood types are:

We do not target specific wood species for the purpose of sustainability.

What’s the most cost-effective way to buy firewood?

Buying logs in bulk works out cheaper than buying them in small quantities. If you’re keen to save more money on your firewood, you can often benefit from discounted logs over the summer.

Why do you sell firewood in cubic metres?

People often ask why we sell by volume and not by weight. It’s because we believe that volume gives you a better idea of what you’re buying. When logs are freshly felled or damp, some of their weight will be water. If you buy a ton of logs that haven’t been kiln-dried, you’re buying a substantial amount of moisture! As a result, if you buy kiln-dried hardwood by volume (m3), you know exactly what you’re paying for.

What are kiln-dried logs suitable for?

Kiln-dried logs are the best wood for burning. They can be used the moment they’re delivered because there’s no residual dampness. It also means they burn hotter than seasoned logs. The kiln-dried logs for sale on our site can be used for:

Remember the best logs for your log burner = kiln dried. Check out our kiln dried firewood for sale today.

Is your wood sustainably sourced?

Absolutely. FirewoodFund was born in 2016 out of a passion for roaring fires and locally sourced, sustainable firewood logs. As such, protecting the environment is central to who we are and what we do. Our logs are sourced through responsible tree felling to help keep British woodlands healthy. We’re immensely proud of that. Find out more about how we source our wood. As part of our sustainability goals, we also donate towards tree planting in Great Britain for every order placed online. You can find out more about our tree-planting commitment here. Read more about us and our mission here. We aim to be a responsible log supplier.

The spark to our fire/The FirewoodFund story

Born out of a desire to reinvent the UK’s firewood industry, FirewoodFund is not only warming homes but hearts with sustainably sourced British woodlands firewood that customers actually feel good about burning!

It all started in 2016, when FirewoodFund founder Matthew found himself dissatisfied with a local supplier. From a bizarre payment process that required leaving cheques under potted plants to a lack of transparency on the provenance of the wood… something had to be done about the UK’s selection of firewood for sale!

To make matters worse, Matthew soon discovered the alarming truth that firewood delivered in the UK was often imported from Eastern Europe. This meant that with every purchase, customers were not only increasing their carbon footprint but also putting Britain’s woodlands at risk for disease with the introduction of foreign, unregulated wood.

With this surprising discovery in the forefront of his mind, Matthew knew he had to take action and revolutionise the UK’s dry firewood industry. Naturally, it was only fitting that he launched FirewoodFund.co.uk that very year!

Today, FirewoodFund operates around the following 5 core values:

  1. Support the British economy by sourcing domestic wood
  2. Perform superior quality control on every log sold
  3. Promote sustainability through tree planting donations
  4. Provide stellar customer service with lightning fast response times
  5. Provide an easy ordering process that is secure, fast, and modern

With these 5 core values at the heart of the company, FirewoodFund is proud to have become a quick favourite across the UK, and believes that our hundreds of 5 star reviews speak for themselves!

Additionally, we are proud to offer a Satisfaction Guarantee and offer our firewood logs delivered for free to mainland UK Monday through Friday (9 AM – 6 PM).
