Firewood & Kiln-Dried Logs Delivered to Truro and Across Cornwall
Order kiln-dried firewood online for delivery to Truro, St Austell and addresses across mainland Cornwall. Choose from manageable bags and boxes through to bulk bags, pallets and crates, then match the quantity, log size and delivery method to your fire, storage space and access.
Order Your Cornwall Firewood Online in Three Steps
- Choose your logs. Select the product, size, options and quantity that suit your fire, then add them to your basket.
- Enter your Cornwall delivery address. Youโll be shown the available delivery options and any applicable charges. For palletised orders, choose from the available delivery dates during the basket or checkout process.
- Check the total and pay online. Smaller parcel products are normally dispatched on the next working day by courier, while pallet orders follow the delivery date selected at checkout.

Around Truro, Delivery Access Can Matter Before the Postcode Does
Cornwall has plenty of properties where the final stretch of a delivery matters as much as the distance travelled. Close to Truro, Cornwall Councilโs former Quiet Lanes trial covered a 15 km network between Shortlanesend and Threemilestone and specifically described the routes as narrow rural lanes. The traffic restrictions from that trial ended in 2022, but the geography is a useful reminder to check access when ordering a palletised load.
Larger bulk bags, crates and pallet quantities are generally delivered on a tail-lift vehicle and moved using a pallet truck. If the approach to your property is particularly narrow, steep or otherwise difficult, flag it when ordering. Final pallet placement depends on safe vehicle access and the surface at the delivery point, so do not assume a pallet can be taken to a log store, garage or another specific position.
If you are unsure whether a larger delivery will suit your property, compare the smaller parcel-delivered products or ask us about access before you buy.

Logs for Sale with Delivery Across Cornwall: Buy the Quantity You Can Store Well
The cheapest-looking pack is not always the best fit. Think about how often you light the fire, where the logs will be stored and how much firewood you are comfortable moving after delivery.
Bags and boxes are useful when you burn occasionally, want a manageable top-up or have limited dry storage. Browse our bags of logs if easy handling matters more than ordering the maximum volume at once.
Bulk bags and pallet quantities make more sense for regular burners with suitable access and enough covered storage. If you are comparing larger loads, see our bulk firewood options.
Crates can be particularly useful when you want a clearly stated volume and a specific species or species mix. Compare the individual product pages rather than assuming that two packs with similar outside dimensions contain the same amount of wood.
Loose and stacked volumes are different because loose logs naturally contain more air gaps. Our firewood volume comparison chart helps you compare larger products on a more useful basis. A bulk bag also describes the container and volume โ it does not mean a tonne of firewood.

Kiln-Dried Logs for Cornwall: Oak, Birch, Ash or British Larch?
Searches reaching this page show interest not only in general firewood, but also in oak, birch and ash. The current FirewoodFund range gives you several ways to choose by species and provenance rather than treating every load as interchangeable.
Birch for a Responsive, Easy-Starting Fire
Birch is available across current bag and crate options. It catches readily and is useful when you want to establish a fire without waiting for a particularly dense hardwood to get going. If you specifically want birch rather than a mixed hardwood product, browse the kiln-dried birch logs range and check the individual pack size and origin before ordering.
Oak for a Denser, Steadier-Burning Hardwood
Oak appears in current oak-and-birch products. Its density makes it useful once a fire is established and where a steadier burn is the priority. See the current kiln-dried oak logs products for the available formats and specifications.
Ash When You Want a Named-Species Crate
Dedicated ash products are also available, including ash-only crates. The kiln-dried ash logs page is the better place to check the current crate sizes, origin and product details rather than relying on a generic Cornwall description.
British Larch When Provenance Is the Deciding Factor
If buying a clearly labelled British option matters to you, current choices include British kiln-dried larch. Larch is a softwood, so compare it with the hardwood options according to your appliance, preferred fire and storage needs. You can also browse the wider British logs range.
FirewoodFund sells both British and European-sourced logs depending on the product. Check the individual listing if species or country of origin is important to your decision.
Check the Log Dimensions Before the Delivery Dimensions
The amount of wood is only half the choice: each individual log also needs to fit your appliance comfortably.
FirewoodFundโs standard small logs are approximately 25 cm long, with a tolerance of ยฑ10%, and are typically around 5โ15 cm in diameter, also with a ยฑ10% tolerance.
The current large logs are approximately 35 cm long, with a ยฑ10% tolerance, and around 8โ20 cm in diameter, again with a ยฑ10% tolerance.
Do not choose purely from the words โsmallโ or โlargeโ. Check the maximum log dimensions recommended by the manufacturer of your stove, open fire or other appliance and allow for the stated tolerance. If you are buying specifically for a stove, our guide to logs for wood burners can help narrow the choice.
No Smoke Control Areas in Cornwall โ What That Does and Doesnโt Change
Cornwall Council currently states that there are no Smoke Control Areas in Cornwall. That is useful local information for stove and open-fire users, but it does not remove the need to choose appropriate dry fuel, follow your appliance instructions or burn responsibly.
Across England, wood sold for domestic use in volumes below 2 mยณ must be certified as Ready to Burn, confirming a moisture content of 20% or less. Cornwall Council also advises people to look for the Ready to Burn logo when sourcing fuel.
Once your logs arrive, protect the dry firewood you have paid for: store it off the ground, shelter it from prolonged rain and allow air to circulate. A covered, ventilated log store is preferable to sealing firewood tightly where moisture can become trapped.
Your Online Order Helps Fund Tree Planting in the UK
FirewoodFund donates money towards tree planting in the UK for every order placed online. It is a contribution towards tree-planting activity rather than a claim that one tree is planted for every order, and the planting is not represented as taking place specifically in Cornwall.
You can read more about the programme on our tree-planting page.
Questions Cornwall Firewood Buyers May Want Answered
Do you deliver kiln-dried logs beyond Truro?
Yes. This page covers Truro and the wider mainland Cornwall delivery area. The existing location list below gives a much more detailed view of the places covered, while checkout shows the delivery options available for your address.
Can a pallet of logs be delivered down a narrow Cornish lane?
It depends on the access at the specific property. Palletised orders arrive on a tail-lift vehicle and are moved using a pallet truck, so tell us about very narrow roads or difficult access when you order. If you are uncertain, check the delivery guidance or contact FirewoodFund before committing to a large load.
Are there Smoke Control Areas in Cornwall?
Cornwall Council currently says there are no Smoke Control Areas in the county. You should still burn dry, suitable fuel and follow the instructions for your appliance.
Can I order oak, birch or ash firewood for delivery to Cornwall?
The current range includes species-specific and mixed-species options involving birch, oak and ash, as well as British larch products. Availability, pack format and provenance vary, so use the individual product pages for the current specification before ordering.
Is a bulk bag of logs the same as a tonne bag?
No. A bulk bag describes a packaging format and volume; it should not be read as a promise that the bag contains a tonne of timber. Compare the stated loose and estimated stacked volumes where available rather than using the bag name as a weight measurement.
Should I choose 25 cm or 35 cm logs?
Measure or check the maximum log size recommended for your appliance first. The standard small logs are approximately 25 cm long and the current large logs approximately 35 cm, both with a ยฑ10% length tolerance. Leave enough room for the logs to sit correctly rather than choosing the largest size that might just fit.
How much firewood should I order?
Start with how frequently you burn and how much dry storage you have. Smaller packs are easier to handle and make sense for occasional fires; larger bulk bags and crates can reduce how often regular users need to reorder. Use the volume comparison chart to compare quantities rather than judging only by photographs or packaging.
