At FirewoodFund, we deliver high-quality firewood logs to addresses throughout the UK, including Yorkshire. Each order contains a mix of sustainably sourced hardwoods, including kiln-dried oak logs, kiln-dried ash logs and kiln-dried beech logs.

When you’ve placed your order, we’ll work with our couriers to make sure it arrives on your chosen day.

Our kiln-dried wood logs are either delivered in a bulk firewood bag (on a pallet) or in multiple smaller boxes. This ensures your delivery involves minimal mess and fuss; no more stacking up loose logs after they’re dropped on your lawn. Just pick the option you’d prefer when placing your order.

Firewood delivery costs

The cost of a firewood delivery to Sheffield and South Yorkshire is free from Monday to Friday. There is a small charge for deliveries made on a Saturday.

All of the kiln-dried logs for sale at FirewoodFund are sourced from Forestry Commission-certified tree surgeons, who harvest the wood as part of a woodland management process. Plus, they’re all from UK sources, which means their carbon footprint is low.

Alongside our sustainable practices, we also make donations to tree-planting programmes for every order placed on the site. We want to preserve the natural environment for generations to come. We aim to be a responsible log supplier.

How FirewoodFund started

FirewoodFund is a passion business born after our founder Matthew couldn’t find exactly what he was looking for – locally sourced, sustainable wood delivered conveniently. With so much fiery potential, it’s no wonder that our founder Matthew felt the need for an easy way to get sustainable logs at home!

It all began in 2016 when our founder Matthew bought a new stove and needed some firewood delivered. Matthew was excited to use his new stove, but when he looked for locally sourced sustainable firewood nearby, he found the ordering process inconvenient – even having to leave a cheque under a plant pot!

So instead of being confined by local suppliers, he investigated ordering online. However, a lot of the wood on offer from these top online retailers wasn’t actually coming from our own country’s forests but rather farther away in Eastern Europe. Not only does this add an unnecessary footprint from having firewood logs delivered from far away, but it also increases risk for diseases being introduced into native woods here. A big no-no!

So, the idea of FirewoodFund was born! Matthew set out to create a better way to provide British firewood for sale online. Since 2016 we’ve gone from strength to strength. We not only support tree planting but also pride ourselves on reliable, long-lasting relationships with our customers and source only British dry firewood logs that are ‘ready-to burn’ so you can have both a quality product and an easy order experience!
