Charcoal Delivered to Surrey & Guildford
A good BBQ can be planned in advance — including the charcoal.
FirewoodFund makes it easy to order charcoal online for delivery to Surrey, whether you are preparing for a family BBQ, stocking up for summer, cooking on a kamado or smoker, or regularly entertaining outdoors.
Rather than depending on whichever bags happen to be available locally, you can choose the type and quantity of charcoal that suits the way you actually cook and have it sent directly to your address.
We deliver to customers throughout Surrey, including Guildford and the surrounding area, using a parcel courier service.
Charcoal orders are despatched on the next working day. Free parcel delivery is available on orders over £100; a delivery charge applies below this value. See our delivery information for full details.
Which Charcoal Should You Order?
There are three distinct options in our Surrey charcoal range.
| Charcoal | Best suited to | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Gourmet Lumpwood | Everyday BBQs, steaks, burgers, chicken and responsive grilling | Approx. 5kg bags |
| Premium Professional Lumpwood BBQ Charcoal | Larger BBQs, frequent grilling, catering and higher-volume use | Approx. 10kg bags |
| Longburn Charcoal Briquettes | Smoking, indirect cooking and longer, steadier BBQ sessions | 4kg bags |
For most domestic BBQ cooking, lumpwood is the natural place to start. It responds quickly to airflow and is well suited to grilling where you want strong, controllable heat.
Briquettes are a better fit when consistency matters more than rapid heat — particularly for smokers, kettle BBQs, indirect cooking and longer sessions.
If you are unsure which type suits your BBQ, our guide to choosing the best BBQ charcoal explains the differences in more detail.
Buying BBQ Charcoal Online in Surrey
Searching for BBQ charcoal near me does not necessarily mean you need to find a shop with stock nearby.
FirewoodFund is an online charcoal supplier, so customers in Surrey can choose their charcoal online and have it delivered rather than travelling between supermarkets, garden centres or local suppliers looking for the right product.
That distinction is important: we are not presenting ourselves as a walk-in charcoal shop in Guildford or Surrey. This page is specifically for customers who want to order charcoal for delivery to a Surrey address.
Our range gives you the choice to:
- select lumpwood or briquettes according to your cooking style
- order multi-bag quantities rather than relying on individual retail bags
- choose a larger professional lumpwood format for bigger BBQs and frequent use
- have charcoal sent directly to your home or business
- qualify for free parcel delivery when your order exceeds £100
Lumpwood Charcoal Delivered to Surrey
For steaks, burgers, kebabs, chicken and everyday grilling, lumpwood charcoal is an excellent all-round choice.
Unlike manufactured briquettes, lumpwood consists of naturally shaped pieces of carbonised hardwood. Its irregular structure encourages airflow and allows the fire to respond quickly as you adjust the vents on your BBQ.
Our Premium Gourmet Lumpwood is particularly suited to normal domestic BBQs, while the larger Professional Lumpwood format makes more sense for bigger grills, outdoor kitchens, events and customers who use substantial amounts of charcoal.
If you are looking to buy lump charcoal online for delivery to Surrey, you can compare the available quantities above and choose the option that best matches your BBQ and storage space.
Charcoal Briquettes for Longer BBQ Sessions
Not every cook needs maximum heat.
For ribs, brisket, pulled pork, whole chickens and other food cooked slowly or indirectly, charcoal briquettes can make temperature management easier.
Their uniform size helps create a more consistent charcoal bed, making them particularly useful when cooking for longer periods.
Many regular BBQ cooks keep both types available: lumpwood for fast, responsive grilling and briquettes when a longer, steadier fire is required.
How Much Charcoal Do You Need for a BBQ?
There is no single quantity that works for every barbecue.
The amount you use depends on the size of the BBQ, the cooking temperature, how long you are cooking and whether you are grilling directly or cooking low and slow.
If you barbecue only occasionally, a smaller multi-bag order may be the sensible starting point. Regular summer cooks may prefer to keep more in storage, while larger BBQs, events and frequent users can benefit from the larger lumpwood bundles available in our BBQ charcoal range.
Whichever quantity you choose, keep unopened charcoal somewhere dry and protected from rain or persistent moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a charcoal shop in Surrey?
FirewoodFund is an online supplier rather than a walk-in charcoal shop in Surrey. Customers order through the website and their charcoal is sent by courier to their Surrey delivery address.
Can I have BBQ charcoal delivered to Guildford?
Yes. You can order our BBQ charcoal online for delivery to Guildford and other suitable addresses throughout Surrey.
Do you offer next-day charcoal delivery?
We despatch charcoal parcels on the next working day. We do not describe this as guaranteed next-day arrival because the actual delivery time depends on the courier and destination.
Is charcoal delivery free?
Parcel delivery is free on orders over £100. A delivery charge applies to orders below £100.
Should I choose lumpwood charcoal or briquettes?
Choose lumpwood if you mainly want strong, responsive heat for grilling and searing. Choose briquettes when you want a uniform charcoal bed and steadier heat for smoking, indirect cooking or longer BBQ sessions.
Can I buy larger quantities of charcoal for delivery to Surrey?
Yes. Our charcoal range is sold in multi-bag quantities, with larger Premium Professional Lumpwood options available for customers with bigger BBQs, frequent use or higher-volume requirements.
